A fully local model and app can keep your conversations on your computer, but we haven't verified a setup that does this: check cloud routing, fallback, and telemetry before relying on it. We aren't sure local models are good enough yet to follow xo's rules. It's the roll-your-own path: harder setup, real hardware requirements, and we can't vouch for it. A cloud chatbot used for troubleshooting will see whatever you share with it.
A local xo is capped at memory and drafting (rungs 0 and 1 in the kit) until a setup passes our gate tests.
